How to set up two bios in Posterous (for two niches)

OK, me again, and still having trouble because I'm working on two niches at the same time. I set up posterous for my first niche, sending them the email from my specific gmail account for that niche, no problem.

I then log into my other email account (gmail) for Niche 2 and send the email to post@posterous. Somehow it defaulted to my Niche 1 posterous account. So then I tried to set up a new space on posterous, with the name Niche 2. That worked except that the bio is still the one I created for Niche 1, so the information and link is to my first niche.

How can I create a separate space or account on posterous for Niche 2 so I can set up the bio specifically for that?

    Thank you!

Start from scratch creating an account.

I finally got that to work but now I'm having trouble linking my posterous accounts with Facebook and Twitter. For some reason it won't let me link with the Facebook fan pages, only with my personal account (it keeps automatically going there). And the posterous accounts are linked, even though I created them separately with separate emails, and it keeps defaulting to link to the same Twitter account, so now my two niches are both linked to only one of the Twitter accounts.

Arrghhh! I don't know why this is so difficult - don't a lot of people create multiple niches?

I found this when I was testing at Posterous:

Note: We have an ongoing issue with Facebook where some pages can't be added. They've acknowledged a bug on their end, but we have no way to know when they might fix it. If you're having trouble adding, it's probably this bug.
Note: Due to limitations on the Facebook platform, we cannot add "business-only" Facebook pages. To get around this, grant admin privileges for your business-only page to a Facebook account with a personal profile, then use this account to add the page to Posterous.

Thank you, Dean! I'll try to do that today with my Facebook pages.

Well I thought I had solved the posterous bio problem but apparently I haven't. What has happened is that I have two separate Posterous "spaces", each named according to one of my niches. However both are linked to the first bio I set up for one of the niches. The topics of my niches are not related, so I have a weight loss Posterous space linked to a neck pain Posterous bio. :-( I'm afraid this means that I also don't have a backlink for the weight loss Posterous space. Should I keep going or is there another way to set up two bios?

I don't really understand how this happened because I set up the initial Posterous spaces using two completely different email addresses.

Sorry, me again! But I get the impression that this Posterous stuff is very important.

My personal facebook account was already set up as the admin of my two new fan pages. I went back to Posterous and tried to go on Posterous and click on Add a Service/Facebook fan page and got the same message as above, there didn't seem to be any option to link to a fan page via my personal account. So then on Posterous I clicked on Add a Service/Facebook, and that worked, but now it looks like posterous is going to post on my personal page, not on the niche fan page.

    Did I do that incorrectly?

    Thank you!

Use Posterous for the other services that aren't giving you such problems. If you follow Ed's blog, he's constantly updating us on the changes at Facebook (and there have been many). For now it looks like you only get the best reach when you post directly to Facebook anyway, so don't worry about linking to Facebook and just update your Facebook Page directly.

Thanks, Dean, I'll do that with Facebook.

OK one final Posterous question. Is it OK if I have two different posterous "spaces" for my two niches but there is only one bio which is linked to both? The problem with that is that a) the two niches are not related so it looks a little odd to have a neck pain bio attached to a weight loss space, and b) the bio only links to the one URL, although I guess I could re-write the bio to include both niches, but it will still be odd because they aren't related, and that won't work if I start a couple more niches in the future.

By Ed's blog do you mean the challenge blog or his personal blog? Thanks!

Just wanted to bump this because I currently have two Posterous "spaces" attached to my single bio. Unfortunately the two niches are not related. It didn't seem to let me set up a new account. I could edit the bio to include links to both my niches, but this will be odd because they aren't related, and I won't really be able to do that if I add more.

I am a little stuck here because I'm spending time setting up all these blogs and linking them to Posterous, and I don't want to have to go undo all this if I'm doing it wrong.

ps I did find Ed's own blog and subscribed. :-)
