    Chrome??? Is this really critical?

I was a google user for years and have made a great effort to eliminate all things google form my life...I am a bing user, live.com email subscriber, and Internet Explorer browser user...all things google have been deleted from my laptop and pc and I really have an aversion to using anything google at this point...can I do the challenge without Google Chrome???

    Hi BoomLinx

You can do pretty much everything in the Challenge with alternate tools and browsers but you can't completely avoid all things Google if you plan to progress far in the internet marketing world

An important skill in the Challenge is learning to understand what problems your target market is trying to solve and where they are looking for their solutions and these days that is mainly via Google searches. In the Challenge we use a keyword research tool called Market Samurai which is very limited if you don't have access to a personal Google account - You personally may not like Google but you will still need access to it's tools and information

    Hi Harvey

    Welcome to the Challenge

As far as I know there is not a version of Chrome that currently works on an iPad - We mainly use Chrome for some of the features you can add (eg SEOquake) but it's not vital to the Challenge & if you want to use an iPad you may need to use mobile Safari or one of the other browsers that work with an iPad

I choose to skip Chrome as well. When I used it, it kept making my computer crash. I suspect it was the lack of adequate RAM on my computer, but when I switched back to Firefox the problem stopped.

Writergirlk, sorry you are having issues with Chrome. I find it works better on my older machines for some reason. Could be a RAM issue.

We have used Firefox quite a bit in past challenges so there are extensions out there that will be similar to what we are using on Chrome this year. I dont have the list in front, but if you search for the functionality or search the forums, you might find ones that are relatively close. If I can find my notes from previous challenges, I am sure that info is there as well.

sure! google chrome is critical browser for us. we are use daily many explorers. but chrome is one of the success chromes, because it is very simple and professional in use. then no body feel bore till use this explorer. if we are used chrome and we have opened many websites in various tabs, and pc take restart then don't worry your all tabs are saved. you can restore you tabs when you start chrome again.
