If you're having trouble finding authority sites then you have to move "up the food chain" from niche keywords to relevant market level keywords.

Yes, I think I have the same question! So, when I go to Market Samurai and look in the promotion tool, nothing with BL or PR's show up. So, I just need to move up and start to think broader regarding my micro niche? I don't think that's going to be hard for me. Just wanted to check that out though.

My site started to get indexed through a PR0 noFollow link that is related to my niche. While I don't think it really gives me any potential credit for my site's ranking directly I do think it has more to do with getting indexed quickly for relevant content. Google doesn't even bother to show my high PR links. I doubt they even consider them to be important at this stage because the domain is less than 1 year old.
