Mastermind Group - pushing past the emotional blocks
Hi there:
I'm new to the Challenge but not to Internet Marketing. I have some websites up, made some money, not a lot, and am part of Ed Dale's mentoring program. So I'm serious about moving forward and pushing past my emotional blocks that are preventing me from earning a full time income.
If you're serious and you have a great positive attitude and want to really help each other make this a full time income and push past the blocks you have in making in, please join me for a Mastermind Group.
I grew up in Seattle, I have a graduate degree and make great money working for the man living in San Francisco, CA. But I"m ready to let go and make my dreams a reality. Please join me... I'm looking for 3-4 people. Reply and tell me about yourself and I will set up a Google group.
Hello Miboni - I've seen the term Mastermind Group used several times in this forum, but do not know what that means. Is this a special term that is used to describe a specific type of group, or is this just a generic euphemism for a 'great team'?
Since the Challenge is about learning and applying new IM techniques, and since you indicate you are already part of Ed's mentor group but apparently without success, your reference to pushing past emotional blocks make this sound like you're looking for a therapy group.
Thank you for your thoughtful response. Clarification for others who are still interested in participating in this group:
1. I am looking for people who are not only interested in learning but who will help support each other; whether it's to be accountable, be actionable, or help each other emotionally when they are going through a tough spot and need someone to help them continue on. As Ed Dale stated on his last video, what makes the biggest difference is that you show up everyday and continue. It's the emotional blocks that prevent people from showing up every day. So in a sense, if you deem that to be a therapy group, then maybe you are beyond me and don't have any emotional blocks keeping you from your success.
2. I just recently joined Ed Dale's mentoring group and only mentioned this because I want to add any additional nugget of information I glean from his mentorship to add in this group. I believe one of the best ways to learn is to teach - which Ed suggested we do.

I am interested in being part of your Mastermind group. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts and my favorite class in College was "Senior Seminar" which had seniors from all disciplines discussing current events. What you can learn from, and share with, others is invaluable as a group.
I have some experience with webpage programming and as a hobbyist in SEO and such but I am a rank amateur at IM proper. I dropped out of 30DC in '08 because I could not create the time to do it properly. With changes in my life and the new schedule I am determined that I will complete this project in '10 and nothing can stop me except myself and that's already been decided as not an option!
Outside this arena I have a BA in Computer Science and have worked most of my life as a programmer in one form or another. I live in Key West, Florida, I'm active in my church and value that relationship above all however I don't subscribe to the "God wants me humble" (meaning poor) doctrine... I believe God wants me to prosper so there is no conflict there as far as my goal. My goal is to supplement my income for an easier and fuller life and to be able to help others who desire to help themselves.
I'm not sure if IM will become a full time job or not - only time can tell that - but I do know that I'm going to finish this, I desire to help others along the way to completing it and I'm going to be successful at IM.

Thank you for your reply. With your positive attitude and enthusiasm for this training, I'm sure you'll handle those challenges and do well. I am faced with constraints of my own, outside this course, and think I would not be able to provide the participation you seek. I wish you the best in this adventure.
