My High Quality Original Content Is Already Getting Stolen - What Should I Do?

I received a comment on my blog indicating that my content is all over the internet. The person wanted to know if I was the originator of the content or if I stole it, like everyone else.

    Here is my project: {Moderator removed niche link}

I spent three months doing intensive research for these articles, which I very carefully wrote, but which I really quickly posted straight to my blog, until I can learn how to do it right. I am just beginning to learn to write content using Market Samurai and then putting it on PingKaching to start building backlinks. I spent so much time doing research, that I am just now getting to this point in the Challenge.

Honestly, I didn't realize anyone could even find my content yet. I am still trying to build the site.

I need to get a Google AdSense account approved using this site, which will be hand reviewed by Google. Will they think I stole my own content?

I especially do not want my photo ripped off and used on other people's websites.

I am freaking out. What should I do?

    Thank you for your help!

    Hi Jazmin

Content scraping is common practice sadly but one good point is that for someone to find and scrape it then Google must have visited your site & indexed it 1st - this means they know who originated the post so that's a point in your favor Another thing Google will take note of is the consistency & quality of your posting.

If you regularly post good quality information & there are good quality backlinks from appropriate sites then you will have no issue with a Google adsense review - I would however make sure you have matured & backlinked the site over some time before making the adsense application. Another tactic if you are concerned is to start another niche site that you then use to get your adsense account.

Have you checked to see if this is really true?

Sounds like your average, everyday troll to me.

Some people are so desperate for attention that they post garbage on people's websites just to see if they can get a rise out of you. Delete it and move on; life is too short to bother with the maladjusted.

Apologies Jazmin I misread the start of your post - Dean is quite correct in that if this comment is your only indication then it is highly likely to be a troll - someone trying to get a reaction out of you - ignore it and move on.

Thank you, Bill. You have made me feel a lot better about this. I will attempt to weave my story into the content (I study Frank Kern's Mass Control). Perhaps this will make the content a little more difficult to steal.

I need to hurry up and complete this project so that I have one under my belt. It is encouraging to hear Ed say in his Challenge Plus video that his students can complete this from start to finish in 5 thirty minute sessions. I will be so happy when he is talking about me!

Thanks, again, Bill. Peace of Mind is a wonderful thing, which you have given me.

Thank you, Dean, I will delete the troll comment. Some of the blog comments all seem the same and are insincere. One person asked permission to use my content. I presume that rather than respond to this person prematurely, I should go through all of the lessons in all of the modules and complete my project first, which would entail using PingKaching to distribute my content and get it used by other people in a way that I get backlinks, is this correct?

I haven't done this step yet but I did watch all of the videos to see where I am headed. I need to hurry up and get this done ASAP.

BYW - you asked if I checked to see if this is really true? I this something that I should do? If so, how do I do this?

    Hi Jazmin.
Do you have a spam filter on your blog? AKISMET will give you a free one for one blog. This will prevent a lot of the rubbish comments coming in and will save you time deleting them. A lot of it is generated automatically and all that people hope for is to get back links to their site. The text such as asking permission to republish is a very common one.

A good tutorial about rel=author could help a lot, how to setup author page in WordPress.

    I feel violated!!!
I was just minding my own business, doing some searches on twitter to come up with some more content ideas for my niche - and found someone has just posted my work on their blog. Word for word from what I posted last week! (not attributed to me)
As mentioned above, I guess it's reassuring to know that my work can at least be found on the web by others .... but really - that's a bit rude!
Not sure that I can do anything much about it - I wanted to post a comment backlinking to my original piece - but the site doesn't have a comments option. Should I just let it go and concentrate on even more content?
    Bah!

    Well, yes and no.

You should definitely be sure that you're all set up with Google Authorship because then Google will know who authored the original piece (by date) and when someone posts your content, it will actually hurt them and help you... all automatically.
