Products for Men and Women?

The Challenge recommended we add one affiliate product to our sidebar which I did successfully.

1. However my best opportunity for a sale has male/female versions of this niche product:
Is it best to create 2 ads and place both in the sidebar?
Is it best to create generic copy for both and have separate links at the bottom of one ad?
Is it best to just focus on the one product for a man or woman?

2. For the side bar ads is it best to have the benefits as bullets or in a short paragraph?

3. Is it best to add personality to the ad, maybe with a story or just plain sales copy?

i think the ad will catch a woman or a man attention if it was talking about the problem it will solve.
