    Alternative to Amazon

My niche has a lot of products on Amazon but unfortunately I am in one of the states in which Amazon will not accept affiliates from because of a tax law we passed.

Are there any alternatives to Amazon appropriate for The Challenge? There is one particular book that is highly recommended in my niche that I would like to promote on my site.

    Thanks!

have you tried looking at the other options in MS like clickbank, paydot, or commission junction yet? Also you might try a google search and type in allintitle:"your niche book" affiliate and just replace the "your niche book" with the actual title. Try playing around with it and see what comes up.

There is also allinurl: where you can find particular phrases in urls.

Maybe booksellers like Borders or Barns & Noble have affiliate programs, if Amazon doesn't work in your state.

When I was looking at Clickbank and Commission Junction for my niche, I saw books that were being offered through both Barnes and Noble and Borders. So try those in MS like akalafr and sfgreg recommended. Good luck with it.

I hadn't even thought of B&N or Borders, but they both have affiliate programs. I also found Abe Books and Alibris. Market Samurai showed some books for my niche on Commission Junction but not the one I wanted.

Thanks for the ideas, I'm sure one of them will work out. Take that, Amazon!

I've read a lot about bookmarks. So, when you say bookmarks, ElizabethS, what exactly, if any, is the significance or value in them for you?

I don't recall any topic on bookmarks in tc10. The mention of them may have gotten by me.

    Thanks in advance.
