Ok, I know there has been a lot of posts about this but a) there havent been any figures posted that i can refer to and b) this is very specific.
I have a choice between two domains
mykeyword.net which is a 86% density or
keyword.us which is a 100% density.
BUT 82% of my traffic is in the US and it is a reasonably competitive market so would I be better trying to atleast get into the top ten of the US results than risk not in global results. And would a .us actually be better than a .net in a us based search?
Another factor to consider is canada, australia and the UK only make up about 2.3% of the market (not sure where the other 15% are searching from) and the affiliate program/s i come to work with may not post to obscure countries so the US may actually represent about 97% of the market that I can sell to.
I know this is a ball ache of a question but I thought I may aswell ask for advice before proceeding.
