    Hi Teri,

Bluehost shows a different indexing page to hostgator (usually a hosted by bluehost with some ads on it). Just follow the WPD setup video & everything should work fine.

I've installed ioncube on Godaddy to get some functionality working. So far, I've had no problems with my GoDaddy account and WPD. However, I just imported the site to WPD instead of installing a new one. This is an advanced tactic, but it works. I've been able to make posts from Market Samurai to my GoDaddy site as well. Since GoDaddy is listed as one of the hosts that is not supported by WPD, I am expecting other problems as I go along, but none yet. It's always refreshing for me to learn something new. Wow, it's worth $10.00 to not have to deal with all that pain, but it's a good list Trisha!

Thanks. It looks a lot more intimidating than it actually is I can't take credit for the list though a very helpful Bluehost support person who provided it.

I contacted BlueHost directly. This is what they said:
you would need to copy your wordpress direct files in your http://www.xxxxxx.com/ folder under public_htmlTeri: [10:17:19 PM] okay; I will request those files from WPD. After I copy those files, would it redirect to an index of page?
Bill: [10:18:05 PM] as long as you have an index.php file in there that is what will load

So I will contact WPD to request those files and see what happens...

I am also curious whether there is an issue with using this domain as an add-on domain. Does this matter? If so, how do I fix this? The domain is aliased to my main domain I use.

The "index of" page requirement in the video is a real red herring, I think. Surely many if not most hosts nowadays show a branded page for a domain where nothing has been added yet, not a plain old "index of" page? Several people have got hung up on thinking they have to see the index of page when in fact they are good to go and worried about nothing.

I have two sites set-up on Bluehost under an add-on domain using WPD with no issues.

    Hi Trisha:

I didn't see this message until now. I was expecting to see the index of page. Turns out that I'm good to go . Thanks for your feedback!

Hi Kevin: Too bad that the video hasn't been updated or at least mentioned that a branded page may pop up. As you know, newbies want to make sure that everything is exactly as stated in the training materials!

I've been stuck for days with trying to get a direct answer, and it turns out that everything is ready to go! Your technical clarification is much-appreciated & thank you SO MUCH! Teri.

I have tried to import my existing Wordpress blog hosted by bluehost without success. I am having difficulty understanding the instructions here, as well as on the WPD support forum.

Can someone 'splain it more better to this simple minded fellow?
