Ok. I got it. I started a ticket with WDP. The short version was that I needed to use the main FTP client in my Bluehost cpanel. I imported my existing site with no problem.

What about getting Market Samurai "Publish Content" to connect to Bluehost to publish a new document? I keep getting the following Samurai error message:
"The WordPress blog's details appear to be set incorrectly -- the remote server is not responding to our request like a normal WordPress blog. Please ensure the XML-RPC API is enabled in your WordPress settings, and that the blog URL is entered correctly in the account settings in Market Samurai."
I have tried all sorts of ways to address the website login but it will not complete. I should be using the same login as I do to get to WordPress, right? "http://mywebsite.com/wp-login.php" "http://mywebsite.com" (example) and the password.
I checked the box for XML-RPC as shown.
"Remote Publishing
To post to WordPress from a desktop blogging client or remote website that uses the Atom Publishing Protocol or one of the XML-RPC publishing interfaces you must enable them below.
Atom Publishing Protocol [X] Enable the Atom Publishing Protocol.
XML-RPC [X] Enable the WordPress, Movable Type, MetaWeblog and Blogger XML-RPC publishing protocols."
I do not see anything like XML-RPC API as is stated in the error message?
"Publish Content" sees all my stuff from the "old ways" on the site.
Any ideas?

Hello Erick, and welcome to The Challenge forums!
We ask that you read and follow The Challenge Forum Rules.
11. Please contact the support team of the 3rd Party (Market Samurai, WPD etc) tool you are using, as opposed to posting the Support issue on The Challenge Forum.
Word Press Direct: http://www.wpdirect.com/support
I'm afraid we can't provide support for Wordpress Direct, but that isn't an issue as they have their own excellent support.
Good luck with The Challenge!
Sorry about that. I thought you guys were heavily connected with Market Samurai from all the posts and updates.
Anyway, it started working. Why? I don't know. It was positively reticent in my earlier attempts. I left it and came back and, voile. Actually, I hate when that happens because you don't know what's changed spending hours banging your head on the problem.
Thanks for your answer. I'll do better in the future.
Bluehost shouldn't cause any problems. I personally use Dreamhost for all of my websites, so you don't have to stick with HostGator. It's also a lot easier to manage your websites on one host, and you don't have to pay extra money for additional hosting.
