    hosting with another host

I have a few questions about todays training, but my first one is about the hosting.
(I first want to say that i have no problems what-so-ever with hostgator, i have never used it so [never used don't abuse applies]).

I use a free hosting service with 000webhost.com(not an ad) for 3 other websites that i have. They offer an upgraded account (go to the website if you want to know why i would upgrade for the challenge) with Hosting24 for $4.48/month this account comes with a free TLdomain.

The challenge recommends Hostgator.com's baby package $7.95/month, this comes with a $100 coupon for Adwords.

Now my question comes down to which should i use, if i use the Hosting24 option all my other websites are upgraded, and i get a new free domain. if i use the hostgator option i get a $100 coupon for Adwords, but i pay an extra $3 a month plus the cost of a domain?

or option C, I get myself a hatchling package with hostgator (just until the end of the challenge) then upgrade my 000webhost to hosting24.

Thanks for Your answers in advance

    Foras,

In order to proceed with the Challenge as instructed in the videos, you will need cpanel-based hosting so that you can take advantage of the Wordpress Direct service to install a tricked-out version of Wordpress for you.

I don't know anything about 000webhost. All I can say is that I've used Hostgator for a while now, and I love their customer service. Uptime is great, too. I would invest in their hosting if for no other reason than that, but as a benefit for Challengers, Hostgator is used in all of our examples and by many of the moderators here, so there are many people who have experience with them.

So I would follow along as instructed in the videos and purchase Hostgator hosting. If, at the end of the Challenge, you decide Hostgator is not for you, then you can simply transfer your blog/site to your other host and cancel your Hostgator account.

    thanks for the response.
(The reason i posted the cpanel demo's was so that they could be compared to one another, because when i compared them they looked the exact same)

Okay I will go with hostgator.com if only for the duration of the challenge, I have to ask though just to be clear do i have to go with the baby package or could i go with the hatchling since i will only be trying it out for the time being

The baby package allows you to host unlimited domains whereas the hatchling only allows you to host one domain. So if you are absolutely positive that you will only be testing one microniche and using only one domain name, then you can go with the hatchling plan. Otherwise, go with the baby plan.

From experience, many people end up finishing the Challenge with a niche that was not their original niche. Whether that will be you, I cannot say, but it is something to keep in mind...

In fact, I can answer that myself:

"As a rule of thumb we cannot provide support for non-cpanel hosts."

I also have a cpanel host that I've been using for a while. Reluctant to pay an extra $8 per month without a very good reason (need to keep costs as low as possible)
