Mine was a Kindle ebook by Perry Marshall, “80/20 Sales and marketing: The definitive guide to working less and making more”. It cost $9.99. It’s not a MMO book, it’s all about customer segmentation and focusing sales effort on the people who are most likely to give you their business. I knew about Perry Marshall from his Adwords books and had a good feeling about the quality of this new book.
The job to be done – we struggle a bit at work with too many prospects who turn out to be time wasters. I thought this book may give us some insight about how we can disqualify the tyre kickers early, and so give more attention to the truly qualified prospects. We operate a traditional B2B operation and this book is relevant.
